Abortion is not the only hot button issue texas lawmakers are taking on. new texas laws go after voting and what's taught in the classroom too. >> reporter: texas's new law banning abortion effectively after 6 weeks is the most restrictive abortion law in the country right now. but it wasn't the only law that went into effect on wednesday. there are texans crying out about several of these 666 laws that went into effect. example, permitless carry. you no longer need to have a license to carry a gun as long as you are able to have one underst state and federal laws.
