Retailers' body ORA has threatened to stop sale of OnePlus products from May 1, 2024.
South India Organised Retailers Association plans to halt OnePlus sales from May 1 due to unresolved concerns, including low profit margins and customer dissatisfaction. Retailers face unsustainable losses, urging a proactive response from OnePlus. In a letter addressed to Ranjeet Singh, Sales Director of Oneplus Technology India, ORA said that throughout the past year, the retailers' body has encountered significant obstacles associated with selling OnePlus products, which remain unresolved.
The filings show there has been a change in nature of the business of this entity -Realme Mobile Telecommunications (India) is now the Realme brand licensee from Realme Chongqing Mobile Telecommunications Corp and will now manage wholesale, marketing, distribution, after sales service, and other incidental activities of the brand.
Oppo Mobiles India: China's BBK Group, the largest smartphone manufacturer, is breaking its sales structure for three brands, Oppo, Realme, and OnePlus, to de-risk the business under increased government scrutiny. The plan is to allow individual brands to have their own sales and marketing teams, ensuring they are not clubbed together in case of further government action.
