This week, Kerala-based fintech startup Open Financial Technologies reached a US$1 billion valuation after closing a US$50 million Series D funding round. The round took Open Financial Technologies to unicorn status, joining India’s other 15 billion dollar fintech startups.
The startup, which is supported by the state government's Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), has raised $50 million from Mumbai-headquartered IIFL Finance in its Series D funding round.
Open said that it will utilise the funds for the launch of three new product offerings on SME lending
Open caters to over 2.3 million SMEs, is processing $30 billion in annualised transactions.
