An August public meeting at the East Meadow Public Library has been scheduled by the EPA on its proposed groundwater cleanup at the New Cassel/Hicksville Superfund site.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Ponderosa Room, Lincoln County Emergency Management, 952 E. Spruce St. 205, Libby.
The one million acre landscape in Lincoln County includes 150,000 acres of hazardous fuels treatments surrounding the communities of Libby, Troy, Eureka, Stryker, Fortine and Trego.
On August 20, 2020, the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Corrective Actions will be opening the public comment period for its Draft Proposed Plan: Operable Unit 8 (OU-8) Peripheral Areas located within the Anaconda Copper Mine Site in Lyon County. The public comment period will remain open through September 19, 2020.
