The DART 12th Street Station will provide easy transfer opportunities between the Red and Orange lines and the future DART Silver Line, providing greater access to the rest of the DART light rail network.
Construction for the DART Silver Line project is ongoing in the city of Coppell and will continue throughout the project’s completion in late 2025 to mid-2026.
The MBTA announced on Friday service changes in August on the Red, Green, Orange, Silver, Kingston, Middleborough, Greenbush, and Lowell lines in order to improve service reliability across the system.
"This is a much more enjoyable way to get into Boston," rider Brant Duncan said. "People should take advantage of it."
