At least 35 people were killed and over 450 injured after an explosion triggered a massive blaze at a private container storage depot in Sitakunda, near Bangladesh’s main sea port of Chittagong.
Saturday's fire reportedly caused a massive blast which led to several subsequent container blasts that firefighters were still trying to douse well into Sunday. The cause of the fire is, as yet, unknown.
