ahmadinejad on the spot. the president summoned before parliament for the first time since the 1979 revolution. conservative parliament members called him out on everything from the limping economy, which is a victim of u.s. sanctions, to his public disagreements with the ayatollah who of course is a supreme leader of iran. now, ahmadinejad tries to make jokes and he made no secret of his distain for the event saying, quote, the fact is that i tried not to attend this session, but i guess it was ordained that i should come, so there is nothing i could do about it. i met him once in p...
