Central Oregon’s skies will be filled with color this weekend for the annual three-day event, Balloons Over Bend.
Pedestrian Ramp Improvements (La Pine Area) – Sidewalk work will be occurring in the La Pine area and could trigger delays for drivers. Work will include construction of new sidewalks and pedestrian ramps on Huntington Road, 4th Street, Foss Road and Hinkle Way. Road users should anticipate single lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours. The Deschutes Historical Museum seeks vendors for their first outdoor Antique Fair on Saturday, August 20, 2022. The museum seeks vendors who offer a variety of quality antiques and collectibles, with no reproductions or replicas. Vendors can find our vendor application online at www.deschuteshistory.org/antiquefair. Bend Fire & Rescue would like to take this opportunity to remind our community about the fireworks ban, and safety for those areas that may still use fireworks. All fireworks sales, use and possession are banned within the city limits of Bend by city ordinance. There won't be any sales tents or in store purchases of fireworks in Bend. You can't buy fireworks elsewhere and bring them into Bend to discharge. Failure to comply can result in a fine up to $750 per offense.
