Portage County Sheriff’s Department issued a warning regarding an uptick in overdoses in the past 28 days.
A notice by Interior Health Tuesday warned about drugs sold in Penticton, B.C., as down, dope and fentanyl which carry a potentially deadly mix of bromazolam and fentanyl.
For the third year in a row, Jackson County has topped its previous year in fentanyl deaths. In 2019, there were six, in 2020 there 13 and in 2021 as of July there have been 14 reported deaths related to fentanyl overdoses.
