Updated 5.29pm A technical error by GO has led to charitable donations made to L-Istrina, Dar tal-Providenza, Caritas and others revised down by €1.4 million, plunging their upcoming operations into chaos. The error caused GO to double-register donations made to fundraising telethons from GO-registered numbers between October 2020 and January 2021. The recently restored façade of the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana has been awarded a Din l-Art Ħelwa award for architectural heritage. The restoration and conservation of the Casa Manresa façade earned the Prix d’Honneur in its category. Why not both life and money? I would like to comment on the little value the Maltese government has placed on the life of its Maltese citizens. I am a retired advanced life support paramedic specialising in disaster medicine for almost 30 years in Australia. Every day, I never gave up on life. For example: having to do CPR on a patient in cardiac arrest in the back of a moving ambulance for three hours before we arrived at the hospital and this was in an Australian summer and the patient survived.
