Fire destroys home on Easter, community now rallying around them
47abc April 6, 2021 SALISBURY, Md.- One woman is trying to help a local family pick up the pieces after a house fire on Easter. We’re told the Kirk family’s shed first caught on fire Sunday evening, with flames eventually making their way to the house. They were alerted by their 9-year-old neighbor, Paisley Centner. During the fire, the family lost belongings and are now staying at a hotel. Community members, like Deborah Ritterson, are trying to help the family get back on their feet. She is collecting donations for them and even restaurants are pitching in by donating gift cards.
