Items beneficiaries received from the Grocery Bag Program As soon as the new PUP administration got into office, the first thing they did was discontinue the Pantry Program. Minister Dolores Balderamos-Garcia boldly announced that she was abolishing the name ‘Pantry’ and was replacing it with ‘Grocery Bag.’ She also said that the program would be extended to rural areas that had not benefitted from it before. Well, the program has been restarted and while the promise was to expand the program, what has actually happened is that the items in the bags are now significantly slimmed down....
