RAYNHAM — A man suffered serious burn injuries when a fire broke out in his Raynham apartment on Friday evening. The Raynham Fire Department responded to a report of an apartment building fire at 111 Leonard St. about 5:10 p.m. "Upon arrival, firefighters located a smoldering fire inside an apartment and quickly put it out," Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita said in a written statement. "A 51-year-old man, who is a resident of the apartment, put out the flames with a fire extinguisher prior to the arrival of firefighters." The crash occurred about 7:20 p.m. in the area of 300 New State Highway (Route 44). "Upon arrival, first responders found the operator of the Honda motorcycle, a 32-year-old Taunton man, unconscious and unresponsive in the roadway," Raynham Police Chief James Donovan and Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita wrote in a joint statement.
