Santa delivers activity bags ahead of Sensory Holiday Party

ROCK HALL — Santa made some early deliveries throughout Kent County this month in advance of the Special Education Citizens’ Advisory Committee’s annual Sensory Holiday Party.
The party, supported by Kent County Public Schools Family Support Resource Center and Infants and Toddlers Programwent virtual this year due to the pandemic.
“Since we are unable to host an event in person, we decided to make up activity bags for those who register. This was dedicated to children in infants and toddlers and special education in KCPS,” said Parent Coordinator Elizabeth Proffitt in an email.
In preparation for the virtual party, Santa delivered bags with all the essentials for a festive party to those who registered Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 and 13. The virtual party itself was held Wednesday evening, Dec. 16, with 68 children who receive special education services, along with their siblings, signed up.
