(Fargo, ND) -- An NDSU sponsored course is looking to educate the public about parenting methods and answer questions about raising "tough" children. The course is called Active Parenting. The class is intended for children aged 5 through 12, and encourages parents to be an active participant in a child's life.

One of the big challenges for Latino students and families across North Carolina is the language barrier. Burke County has hired four Spanish-speaking parent educators as a way of helping close this communication gap.
