Lac qui Parle County woman never let go of anything, then gave away $2 million to Minnesota organizations
Betty Jane Johnson lived a modest life, much of it in the Montevideo and Dawson areas of western Minnesota, but created a trust that distributed more than $2.2 million to 22 different organizations after her death. None had expected the windfall gifts they received.
