Speaker for creating awareness against child marriage, women repression

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Tuesday underscored the need for becoming more aware of the adverse impact of child marriage as well as violence against the women has increased all over the world amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Everyone needs to think of innovative solutions to deal with this situation. To prevent child marriage, it is important to conduct continuous project activities to raise awareness among parents in high schools and colleges,” she said.
She was attending the joint meeting of three sub-committees of Bangladesh Association of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (BAPD), which was formed under the ‘Strengthening Parliaments Capacity in Development and Development Issues’ (SPCPD) project, in a virtual meeting held at Purbachal Club of the city, said a press release. ....
