Sterlite Power has acquired Beawar Transmission Ltd to develop an electricity transmission project in Rajasthan. The project, which is on a Build, Own, Operate, Transfer (BOOT) basis for 35 years, will involve the construction of a 350 km transmission corridor, a 3,000 MVA substation, and two LILO lines.

Sterlite Power has secured a green energy transmission order for Rajasthan Phase-III (20GW), a statement said. The project includes construction of 350km 765Kv electricity transmission corridor. However, the company did not disclose the value of the order.
