Patch Windows to avoid denial of service attacks: Microsoft

Flaws in TCP/IP stack expected to be exploited.
Microsoft has issued an urgent security alert advising customers to apply patches for vulnerabilities in the Windows transmission control/internet protocol (TCP/IP) networking stack, as its security researchers expect the flaws to be exploited soon.
Of the three vulnerabilities, the CVE-2021-24086 flaw is easy to exploit for denial of service attacks that cause a STOP error with a Blue Screen of Death in Windows, Microsoft said.
Two remote code execution (RCE) bugs are also fixed in this month s Patch Wednesday set of security updates. ....

NEW JERSEY, NJ Congressman Chris Smith is one of only two Republican Congress representatives remaining in New Jersey; he represents New Jersey s Fourth Congressional District, which is most of Monmouth, part of Ocean County and a small sliver of Mercer.

I unequivocally condemn the assault on Capitol Hill, and those who committed the vandalism and crimes should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, said Smith. WASHINGTON, DC Fourth District New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith, a Republican, voted with the Congressional majority Wednesday night to confirm the Electoral College vote counts that make Joe Biden the nation s 46th president.
There are only two remaining New Jersey Congress representatives who are Republican Smith and Rep. Jeff Van Drew. Of the two, only Van Drew voted in support of the objections. Van Drew represents the Second Congressional District (South Jersey) and is an outspoken Trump supporter.
