STAUNTON — Authorities arrested a Verona man Saturday on a rape warrant stemming out of Staunton. The Staunton Police Department said a woman reported in early March that she'd been raped numerous times since 2016 by a man described by police as an acquaintance. Police said the alleged rapes took place at a residence on the city's north end. An investigation was launched, and on Saturday the Augusta County Sheriff's Office arrested a Verona man on the Staunton warrant.
