Patrick Compton, a spokesman for the Lawrence Police Department, said police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1500 block of West 22nd Terrace shortly after midnight, where they found a woman who had been stabbed with an unknown object. The woman was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, Compton said. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are investigating a reported shooting that injured a man Thursday evening in south-central Lawrence. Officers were called to the 1700 block of West 24th Street shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday and found a man with “an apparent gunshot wound,” Lawrence police spokesperson Patrick Compton said in an email.
