Learning at home a viable option for area families
Article content In these unconventional times, many area families have stayed away from conventional schooling. The Avon Maitland District School Board reports that there are more than 1,100 students in their remote learning school this year, 696 in elementary with an additional 443 secondary students. But there are also 268 students a part of their PROG Homeroom program, where paper packages with the curriculum are picked up regularly by parents at their “home” school.
