Police in Thailand say an Irish tourist has died after falling out of a moving train
An Irish national has died after falling from a moving train in Thailand.
KANCHANABURI: A New Zealand tourist fell to his death from a train while taking photos of the scenic route of the Death Railway on Tuesday.
His current place of residence was not immediately known, but he entered Thailand on Dec. 26 on a tourist visa.Police said Ward travelled Tuesday by rail with a tour group from the capital, Bangkok, to Kanchanaburi town, where the bridge over the River Kwai, made famous in the movie about the railway constructed by forced labour under Japanese WWII occupation, is located.
