Outside Bolton Coroner's Court at Paderborn House A RETIRED accountant who had a bowel cancer operation died three months later after suffering a heart attack, an inquest has heard. Michael Lee, of Shorefield Mount, Egerton, had a major operation at the Royal Bolton Hospital on October 7, 2019 to remove cancer. It was hoped that the procedure was possible through keyhole surgery but this had to be changed to open surgery. A British student fell from a party boat and drowned during a holiday to Prague just days after finishing his A-levels, an inquest heard. Steven Roberts, 19, was with his family in the Czech Republic when he toppled over the side of the two-storey vessel on June 24, 2019. Witnesses recalled hearing a splash and seeing his body in the water - but nobody saw the teenager fall. Police organised a mass search and found Mr Roberts' body in the Vltava River later that day.
