Paul Hyde of Castlefields, Baltimore, Co Cork pleaded guilty to two planning offences in June of this year and was originally sentenced to two months in prison.
Judge Colin Daly increased the overall sentence to three months but suspended it in full.
The defence had emphasised that Mr Hyde “was not involved in corruption despite what the keyboard warriors may say”.
