Staff of the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) in Kaduna State on Tuesday staged a protest over the non-payment of their allowances and salary arrears. The staff were seen by SaharaReporters with banners conveying their messages to the management, which included; "Enrollment into IPPIS, " "Payment of our 6months palatives," "Payment of 2019 minimum wage arrears," "Stop lopsided payment of allowance," "Payment of 2022 and 2023 promotion arrears."

    The management of Defence Industries of Nigeria (DICON) in Kaduna State has revealed that it has yet to pay its staff the N35,000 wage award promised by President Bola Tinubu's administration for six months.   DICON asserted that continuous efforts are being made to ensure that all remaining outstanding allowances and entitlements, such as the N35,000 promised as a palliative by the Federal Government are settled promptly.
