Over the weekend, the People’s United Party hosted four Delegate Conventions to elect Municipal Slates in Belize City, Belmopan, San Ignacio/Santa Elena and Benque Viejo Del Carmen.  Belize City had its convention for the People’s United Party at the Belize Elementary auditorium on Saturday. Of the 22 persons vying to be councilor candidates the top ten elected were Allan Pollard, Micah Goodin, Kaya Cattouse, Javier Castellanos, Edmund Kwan, Deannie Requena, Natasha Pipersburgh, Albert Vaughan, Michael Novelo, and Stephanne Michelle Hamilton.  Current Mayor Bernard Wagner is seeking a re-election and went uncontested this weekend.  Meanwhile in Belmopan, as many as six candidates had eyes on the mayoral seat.  For this story we join our Cayo Correspondent Fem Cruz. ....
