Scoggins EDWARDSVILLE — A logistics company is suing a former driver, alleging he violated an employment agreement by suddenly leaving his job and going to work for a competitor. C. Pepper Logistics LLC filed a complaint March 22 in the Madison County Circuit Court against James Ely, alleging breach of contract. According to the plaintiff's complaint, C. Pepper Logistics entered into an independent contractor agreement with Ely that includes a confidentiality clause and non-solicitation clause.
