Musicians, poets and State College community members gathered in the HUB-Robeson Center on Thursday to honor the life of Martin Luther King Jr. through different performances of the arts.
The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke at Penn State’s Rec Hall in 1965. Fifty-nine years later, events will be held across campus and in State College in his honor.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, but events that honor his life and legacy will be held all week.
Events will start on January 15 and continue throughout the week.
