Kota Kinabalu: The State Local Government and Housing Ministry (KKTP) on Thursday handed over 18 new garbage trucks to 11 local authorities (PBTs) to improve cleaning works in their respective areas.
THE proposal to upgrade Penampang into a municipal council will be brought to the State Cabinet by July this year, said Deputy Chief Minister II cum Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam.
Strategic cooperation between the State Government represented by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing (KKTP) and the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) was strengthened through the Implementation of the Local Authority (PBT) Licensing Guidelines (Operating Licence) Standardisation Initiative in Sabah.
