Calls for reduced speed limit on Chafeys Roundabout, Weymouth
CALLS have been made for the speed limit to be slashed on a busy road leading to a Weymouth roundabout after two women suffered serious injuries in a crash. A Weymouth Town councillor has called for a reduction in the 50mph speed limit on Weymouth Way, leading up to Chafeys Roundabout. He is suggesting a 200-yard stretch of the carriageway approaching the roundabout be reduced to 30mph. The call comes after a crash last week where two women had to be cut free from their car after colliding with another vehicle. The women were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.
