The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, has stated that the killers of the Director of Finance in Governor Dapo Abiodun’s office, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, are in-house. The CP revealed that the robbery and murder were premeditated, wondering how the armed robbers were fully armed with a sledgehammer to break into the bullion van. SaharaReporters on Wednesday reported that suspected armed robbers shot dead Oyekanmi, a director of Finance and Accounts attached to the Governor’s  Office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Oyekanmi was gunned down while returning from the bank where he had taken a bullion van to withdraw some funds for the state on Wednesday.

During the attack, Oyenekan was shot in his thigh and private part but was immediately taken to the State's hospital, Ijaiye, where he was confirmed dead.

The letters, signed by representatives of the Sacred Heart Church, All Saints Church, and St. Patrick’s Church, vividly highlight the problem of trash piling up along the roads leading to the cemeteries.
