Celebrated academics slain at Hogsback
The peace in the sleepy Eastern Cape village of Hogsback was shattered on Monday morning when two world-renowned academics were found murdered in their home. The slain couple was found — with their hands and feet bound by cables — by their domestic helper, who alerted neighbours. The close-knit community told the Dispatch that crime in the area was spiralling out of control and called for increased police visibility in the town.
