Sales of diesel in India declined for the second consecutive month in September due to reduced demand caused by heavy rains and slower industrial activity. Diesel consumption fell by 5.8% to 2.72 million tonnes in the first half of September compared to the same period last year. However, petrol sales saw a marginal increase during the same period.
