It was an unforgettable moment for 42 graduates of the Petronas-run Kimanis Petroleum Training Centre (KTC) from 2017 and 2018 when they stepped forward to receive their diplomas during their convocation ceremony, here, Thursday.
Director General of State Public Service, Datuk Rosmadi Datu Sulai highlighted that Petronas remains unwavering in its commitment towards investing in education and human capital development, particularly in Sabah despite challenges facing the industry globally.
“It’s truly heartening to know that graduates are highly-sought not only for their knowledge and skills but also their competency and practical experience,” he said, lauding efforts by Petronas in supporting the State’s education development.
He said this initiative includes the establishment of KTC, Mara Science College (MRSM) Ranau and the annual award presentation of Petronas education scholarships for students to pursue higher education.
