The three candidates vying for two seats on the Spencer School Board participated in a public forum ahead of the November election. At the City Council Chambers on Wednesday evening, incumbent board members Brea Schmidt and Philip Bieber who was appointed in February to fulfill the term of Jeremy Parsons who resigned — and longtime former member Dean Mechler voiced their opinions on education issues and shared their goals for the district.
