Police reported that Maurice Ronel Joyeau of Phillip Trace, Maraval was at home when a short, stocky man broke in and shot him as he slept around 2.30am. After the shooting the killer ran off. Police found spent .45 shells at the scene, as well as one live round, which they hope will be used to get the fingerprints of the killer. No motive was given for the killing.
