Phoenix Fire Department faces more calls for heat-related emergencies
Phoenix has been broiling in a heatwave, with temperatures of 110 degrees or higher since July began.In that time, the Phoenix Fire Department has seen an uptick in calls for all heat-related emergencies.Capt. Scott Douglas says they’re still tallying the total number of heat-related calls throughout the city. Data shows there have been at least six mountain rescues this month.
