ATLANTA (AP) — The candidates in a Democratic runoff for Georgia's 10th Congressional District are still Tabitha Johnson-Green and Jessica Fore, after a recount demanded by third-place finisher Phyllis Hatcher didn't allow Hatcher to overtake Fore for second place.
The recount in Athens for District 10 trends the same as original, with results for the whole district still pending, with Johnson-Green and Fore leading.
A 137 vote difference between second and third place finishers leads to a recount.
Athens-Clarke County is among the counties required to recount ballots from the Democratic Congressional District 10 race.
In surprise, several Georgia GOP candidates avoid runoffs. However, four Democratic statewide races will be decided in June.
