Number of deaths. we have a military readiness crisis on our hands that the leaders of the military have been talking about for a number of years in congressional testimony and it has fallen on a lot of deaf ears. we have to wake up and pay attention to what is really happening here. there is a direct correlation between these accidents and the lack of funding for readiness and spare parts and maintenance. the lack of funding for training. we have pilots that should be flying 15 hours a month, sandra, only flying five. they can t maintain their pilot skills at five hours. some of them are leaving because they re fed up. if you haven t been around the pilot, they want to fly. if you don t let them fly there is no self-contentment in terms of what they are doing with their lives. we have got to fix this problem. the congress has got to wake up and we have to put that money back into the coffers so we can ....
