I'm sure most of you have seen the horrific crash by now that happened this past Saturday, November 12 at the Wings Over Dallas World War II airshow. Today the Commemorative Air Force released the names of the men lost in that accident.
What a weekend, what an air show. This was my first time attending the show at the Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, and other than a little parking confusion, it was a great time for your Just Plane Nuts reporter.

It has been way too long for me, I think the last time was a year or two before all the COVID-19 mess. I know there are some coming up in the fall, but I'm getting a little antsy.
Since my mother, and now a whole bunch of my new family (long story), lives in Houston, I make pretty frequent trips down there to see them. On one of those trips a few years ago I found out that the Houston Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is based at the West Houston Airport (IWS), very near my mother's house. Then I found out they have a Hanger Hang Out every three weeks or so on Saturdays. On this particular trip, it just so happened to be on the same Saturday that I was in town.
