This is a free, family-friendly event on Barker s Island in Superior. Organizers say the festival will follow the CDC and Douglas County Health Department guidelines for every event held during the festival weekend. The public will be encouraged to wear masks and follow social distance guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Superior Mayor Jim Paine said in a Lake Superior Ice Festival press release, that the city has had good luck with outdoor events.
