Article content The young piping plover spotted at Sauble Beach last week hasn’t been seen along the sandy shoreline in days. Andrea Gress, Birds Canada’s Ontario piping plover program co-ordinator, said the endangered shorebird – believed, based on his leg bands, to be a first-year male from Michigan – was first reported at Sauble May 4, but hasn’t been seen since May 5.
