Last Saturday, British comedian Rowan Atkinson published an opinion piece in The Guardian in which he talked about how he had come to doubt if electric vehicles were really the best choice for cutting carbon emissions. Atkinson does have an academic background in electrical engineering, but Cara Clairman, the CEO of Plug’n Drive, a Canadian non-profit that advocates for electric vehicles, tells Brent Bambury why some people think he's off the mark and why she thinks EVs, while imperfect, are still the best choice available.
