The Parliamentary Core Committee on Naga Political Issue met the leaders of NSCN (IM) on September 17 at Police Complex in Chümoukedima days after having a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah in an attempt to facilitate the final solution to the protracted Naga issue. The Co-convenor of the committee, TR Zeliang said that the NSCN (IM) is not happy with the way the current interlocutor AK Mishra is handling the issue but expressed willingness to resume the peace talks starting this month.
