Islamabad : Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar on Saturday visited Sihala police station and inspected the record and condition of the lockups.
He also reviewed the working environment, building infrastructure and dealing with cops with the public at the police station.
He directed the SHO to ensure his presence at the police station and listen to the complaints of citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, SP (Rural) told the DIG that several gangs involved in crime in the area of Expressway, PWD and adjacent areas have been arrested; that is why a reduction in crime has been recorded. ....

Islamabad : Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar on Thursday suspended three station house officers (SHOs) of Islamabad police due to poor performance, following public complaints.
According to a notification issued here, Inspector Rasheed Ahmed (PS Tarnol), Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal Gujjar (PS I-9) and Sub-Inspector Noor Ullah (PS Ramna) were placed under suspension and closed to Rescue 15.
Meanwhile, in another notification Senior-Superintendent of Police (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanvir has transferred and posted five SHOs with immediate effect.
Inspector Asjad Mehmood has been transferred to police station (PS) Tarnol, while Sub-Inspector Adeel Shaukat Ali was given the charge of PS Industrial Area. ....

Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar on Saturday visited five police stations and checked working environment and dealing of cops with public there.
According to details, the newly appointed DIG (Operation) visited Industrial Area, Saabzi Mandi, Margallah, Kohsar and Aabpara Police Stations and checked record and building infrastructure there. He said that issues of police would be resolved and policemen can visit to him every Tuesday for sharing their professional and personal problems which will be resolved on priority. He directed all SHOs to remain present in police stations on daily basis from 3 pm to 5 pm and to listen complaints of citizens. DIG (Operations) stressed for free registration of crime. ....
