Does this make it harder to believe that? well, yes, because the president of the united states has said as much, that these images affected him and changed his views of syria. if we take him and eric trump at his word, yes, it was seeing these images. the really sort of thing we need to remember here is that this is explicitly not what he ran on to be president. it was not this compassionate interventionism. it was not part of his platform. i want to note that eric was sort of riffing and we don t know for sure that the conversation took place but it does raise questions about the number of people inside this administration who don t have the traditional experience, and i have to admit i thought about your old boss, hillary clinton, who had a little bit more experience, about the influence of people who maybe don t understand the geopolitical and very real life or death implications of how these things ....
