Professor Sheila Tlou is the new BOU Chancellor Breaking News Former Minister of Health, Professor Sheila Tlou, has been appointed the new Chancellor of Botswana Open University, taking over from former Vice President, Ponatshego Kedikilwe. The appointment of Professor Tlou was announced by Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoTE), Dr. Douglas Letsholathebe. “The appointment was made by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Botswana, Dr. M. E. K. Masisi and is effective from May 2021 to April 2026. Professor Tlou replaces Dr. PHK Kedikilwe, who retired as Chancellor at the end of 2020. Professor Tlou has been a trail blazer in many respects and brings to her role a wealth of knowledge, experience, and wisdom,” said Dr Letsholathebe in a statement.
