Mrs. Violet Jean Faye (nee Schutte), age 90 years, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Jean learned the value of family, community, and hard work growing up on her family’s farm in Slate River. As a girl, she enjoyed reading and school, and wanted to become a teacher. In 1949, she married Frank Faye, and they soon started work on building a new home on Riverdale Road, a labour of love, where they raised their family of four children.
