Which festivals are going ahead and when do live gigs restart after COVID-19 lockdown?
Music fans have had a disappointing 12 months with festivals and gigs cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
But with the silver lining of lockdown easing on the horizon, many will be hoping they can get back into shows in the near future.
Boris Johnson's
COVID-19 roadmap says that from 17 May, fans may be able to get their first taste of live music for more than a year.
No earlier than 21 June, as long as things go to plan, all limits on social contact will be removed. While some issues around mass events are still to be ironed out, the government is hoping to reopen nightclubs and lift restrictions on large gatherings such as festivals at this point.

(Micah Viccinelli)
“Originally hailing from Baton Rouge, Jony Shelby is a versatile R&B artist, while he is now based in Austin, Texas. He was always fascinated by music since a young age, from playing instruments in his late father’s church to being drum major in his high school band, but it has only been recently within the past 3 years that he has artfully captivated with his creations.”
Jony Shelby sings in the intro of his single “Crater”.  With the sonic energy of Frank Ocean and the humming vibrato of Post Malone, “Crater” is perfect for a road trip to California with a purple-red sunset as the backdrop. The track speaks to his longing to escape the world he’s in while hopefully being with someone to withstand the rush of his ambitious lifestyle. Dwight James III spoke with Jony about music, life, and everything in between.

Today’s song has sparked a bicoastal legal battle with a songwriter who claims he co-wrote the song and has been denied credit and compensation.
Tyler Armes sued Austin Post, the real name of today’s artist, because he says he "spent hours in the studio jamming with [Austin] on [today’s song]"
He says he co-wrote the keyboard chords and the guitar melody in the introduction and had "significant input" on the bassline. While the lyrics hadn't been finished, Armes says the instrumentation and vocal melodies they created that night are "note for note" identical to the finished song.

Global superstar Lady Gaga and the LVMH-owned champagne brand Dom Pérignon have come together for a limited-edition collaboration. Tying in with Gaga’s
Chromatica album launch (which has also seen partnerships with Oreo), the Dom Pérignon team-up comes as a means of shared artistic energy, born out of a celebration of creativity.
With this in mind, Gaga has put her name to a range of limited-edition collector’s bottles and an accompanying sculpture. This is captured in a Nick Knight-shot campaign, which sees the pop powerhouse pose with her bottle of rosé champagne against the backdrop of her “Queendom,” which as Knight says was his “desire to create a burst of positive fantasy — a beautiful world that exists only in people’s imaginations. Fantasy is such an important part of our lives; it makes us dream and fuels our creativity. And right now, the world needs celebration. I wanted to create something which would touch people across many different cultures, for its joie de vivre, its energy, its rush of fantasy and celebratory visions.”
